The pharmaceutical companies are becoming richer and richer while our people are becoming sicker and sicker. The recent Vioxx (Merck) debacle is only the tip of the iceberg.
There are two major flaws with the medical approach. First, the cause of ill health is never a lack of drugs. For example, you don’t get headaches from a lack of Advil in your bloodstream. And you don’t get depressed from a lack of Prozac. Giving someone drugs to cover symptoms never heals, and will usually lead to more problems down the line. Second, drugs are dangerous.
